Ernest Hemingway

Throw an Ernest Hemingway Festival in Your High School English Classrooms

One of the fun ways we celebrate Hemingway and the end of the Moderns Unit is to throw a class Hemingway Festival inspired by the one that happens in Key West, Florida annually (minus the arm wrestling and daiquiri drinking).

Throwing a Hemingway Festival is fun, and it's a great way for students to showcase their knowledge and love of Hemingway in unique ways.  Creative students love opportunities to shine, and a class festival is a great way to spotlight them!

These offerings aren't just fun, though! They also challenge students to step out of their comfort zones and express themselves through various mediums.
