October is my favorite time of year to be an English teacher!  My students excitedly read Edgar Allan Poe and Coraline, and after, they're eager to flex their creative muscles.  I recently developed this Gothic journal unit to allow for bigger challenges, unique prompts, and creative experimentation.  The results were fantastic!  I hope your students enjoy these as much as mine.
